Marketing to NY: Three/21 Media for Nas, Think Tank Marketing for Lil Wayne, Internets Celebrities for Themselves
One of the nice things about being in a major media center like New York is that one can market to a local media crowd and have wide ranging impact. But that marketing effort has to go beyond simple targetting in a city where artists pushing their latest mixtape may outnumber the rest of the audience for any given show [or so I'm told].
Recently Three/21 Media threw a film party for the first music video for Nas' upcoming The Streets Know the True Name of This Album and got great immediate coverage from NY media insiders.
