Police search for Delaware State University shooter


Police combed the Delaware State University campus on Friday for a man who shot two students, including a woman whose condition is "potentially life-threatening," a school spokesman said.

1 of 2 The university was on lockdown after the shootings near the Memorial Hall sports arena, which university police said were reported Friday at 12:54 a.m. ET .

"Until the suspect is apprehended, students, faculty and staff are being directed to remain in their buildings until further notice," a school statement said.

Two arrested in noose incident near Jena, Louisiana


Authorities in Alexandria, Louisiana, arrested two people after nooses were seen hanging from the back of a red pickup Thursday night, the city's mayor told CNN.

Alexandria is less than an hour away from Jena, Louisiana, and was a staging area Thursday for protesters who went to the smaller town to demonstrate against the treatment of six black teens known as the "Jena 6" in racially charged incidents.

Police say the 18-year-old driver of the truck was charged with driving while intoxicated and inciting to riot and also may be charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor -- the 16-year-old passenger.

'Jena Six' Rally Draws Supporters From Around The World To Louisiana


Everyone wants justice for the "Jena Six," a group of black teens who were initially charged with the attempted murder of a white classmate last year after a series of incidents, which included white students allegedly hanging nooses on a tree planted on high school grounds. Rapper/mogul Jay-Z has announce that he will release an album full of all new material this November titled American Gangster.

While Jay-Z's version of American Gangster is separate from the official motion picture soundtrack, the new album is Jay-Z's lyrical interpretation of the movie, which stars Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Cuba Gooding Jr. (as Nicky Barnes), RZA, T.I., Ruby Dee, Common and others.

Webbie, Lil' Boosie Hit With $1 Million Dollar Lawsuit


Baton Rogue, Louisiana rappers Webbie and Lil' Boosie have been hit with a $1 million dollar lawsuit by a local a promoter who alleges they failed to perform at a concert in January.

The lawsuit claims the Lil Boosie, born Torrance Hatch and Webbie, born Webster Gradney Jr., were hired by Tracye Stafford of Ikon Entertainment to perform at Club Sonar on January 20, but they failed to show up to the concert to perform.

Immigrant children struggle with America's junk food


Adrian McHargh grew up active and skinny in Kingston, Jamaica. An enthusiastic swimmer, he had the pristine waters of the Caribbean for a playground until two years ago, when he and his family moved to America.

"I would always cook a healthy dinner," the 13-year-old's mother, Visha Siew-Narine, says about mealtime on the island. "When he came here, I think the fascination of having all this food that we couldn't afford in Jamaica, or that wasn't really available, that was kind of new to him."
