Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton met privately Thursday night at the Washington home of Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a key supporter of Clinton's presidential campaign, Feinstein said Friday.

"They talked. I went upstairs and did my work," Feinstein said Friday. "They called me when it was over. I came down and said, 'Good night, everybody, I hope you had a good meeting.'

Marketing to NY: Three/21 Media for Nas, Think Tank Marketing for Lil Wayne, Internets Celebrities for Themselves

One of the nice things about being in a major media center like New York is that one can market to a local media crowd and have wide ranging impact. Recently Three/21 Media threw a film party for the first music video for Nas' upcoming The Streets Know the True Name of This Album and got great immediate coverage from NY media insiders.

Hispanics dying on job at higher rates than others

Hispanic workers die at higher rates than other laborers, with 1 in 3 of these deaths occurring in the construction industry, a government study reported Thursday. South Carolina had the highest death rate in the nation.

Hispanics tend to hold more high-risk jobs than those in other racial groups, but language and literacy barriers and poor training and supervision may also be factors, researchers said. The leading causes of death in recent years have been falls and highway-related accidents.

Blacks optimistic, anxious about Obama

Barack Obama's historic quest for the White House is creating a mix of hope and concern among fellow African-Americans, raising expectations that the presumptive Democratic nominee will be able to improve race relations — and anxiety over whether his success will ignite a racially divisive fall campaign.

Interviews from Los Angeles to New York and a new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll find that many blacks are still getting used to the idea that Obama — who would be the first person of color to be nominated for president by a major party — could win the White House five months from now.

Your private health details may already be online

Imagine my surprise when, in the course of doing research for this story, I stumbled upon my own personal health information online.

There it was in black, white, and hypertext blue. My annual mammograms; the visits to the podiatrist for the splinter in my foot; the kind of birth control I use -- it was all on my health insurance company's Web site. And that's not all: The prescriptions drugs I use were listed on the Web site where I get my prescription drug insurance.

I had no idea this was all on the World Wide Web. Welcome to the 21st century, says Dr. Steven Schwaitzberg, associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School and a medical informatics expert.
