Joe Budden Explains Jay-Z Dis, Tells Hov To Retire


What came as a surprise to many on Joe Budden’s recently released Mood Musik 3 was “Talk 2 Em” - a track aimed at Jay-Z, his former boss at Def Jam. What was speculation at first was confirmed recently by Budden during an interview with Rhapsody.

Beanie Sigel & Bill Cosby Lead Anti-Violence March In Philly


Beanie Sigel is continuing his push for peace in Philadelphia, as the South Philly rapper joined actor and comedian Bill Cosby in an anti-violence march through the city yesterday (Dec. 20).

Last week, Beans taped an anti-violence PSA for a local Philly TV station to shed light on Philly's murder count, which stood at 375 in mid-December.

Yung Berg Arrested With Weed In Miami


Chicago rapper Yung Berg was arrested in Miami today (Dec. 21) for smoking weed, a rep for the artist told AllHipHop.com.

The arrest took place on the set of the video for singer Ray J.'s new single "Sexy Can I" from his forthcoming release All I Feel, which features Yung Berg.

Judge Denies Remy Ma's Request To Tour


Bronx Bred Rapper Remy Ma was denied permission to leave the United States yesterday (December 21).

Remy Ma, born Remy Smith, was to perform a five country European tour, which would have included stops in Paris, Antwerp, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Stockholm.

Pitbull Charged With DUI


Miami rapper Pitbull was arrested and charged with DUI early this morning (December 21) in Miami, Florida.

While details are sketchy, Pitbull, born Armando Perez, was booked into Miami’s county jail at 6:51 am.

R. Kelly Escapes Arrest


Under the threat of an arrest warrant, R&B star R. Kelly made his court appearance this morning (Dec. 20).

According to the Associated Press, R. Kelly appeared in court in his hometown of Chicago at 9 a.m. today.

Judge Vincent Gaughan entered a warrant for Kelly's arrest that would have been effective today had he not appeared this morning, as ordered. Gaughan resorted to the warrant after Kelly missed a scheduled appearance yesterday in his child pornography case.

The Lox Reunite For Rare NYC Performance

Will Smith Takes On Alcoholic Superhero Role In Upcoming Summer Blockbuster


Fresh off his current smash hit, I Am Legend, box office giant Will Smith already has the wheels in motion for his next movie, which is set to be released this summer.

In the new special effects-laden comedy, entitled Hancock, Smith plays an alcoholic superhero of the same name. When he's not hitting the bottle, he's a hard-living, would-be savior to the city, but the sauce causes him to do more harm than good.

Usher, Wyclef Team To Raise Money During NHL All-Star Weekend


R&B singer Usher has teamed with the National Hockey League (NHL) to produce two benefit performances during the NHL’s 2008 All-Star weekend in Atlanta.

For the first event, Usher has tapped rapper Wyclef Jean, who will perform selections from his new album The Carnival II: Memoirs of an Immigrant, at the Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta on January 25.
