After being granted a thirty day grace period before having to report to jail on weapons charges, Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy has decided to shoot his new music video inside a prison cell.

Remy Ma & Lil' Kim Beef Heats Up


After publicly expressing their distaste for one another, Remy Ma and Lil' Kim have upped the ante by elevating their beef with a new series of attacks.

As previously reported by SOHH, the two traded jabs a little while back. But hip-hop fans haven't heard the end of anything yet. Remy recently raised the bar, releasing a YouTube video of her in the studio recording her latest diss track against the Queen Bee entitled "When I See Her."

Lawsuit Erupts Over 'Ultimate Victory' Production


Attorneys for Grammy-award winning rapper Chamillionaire and his company Chamilitary, Inc., filed a lawsuit in Texas on January 11 against Philly based producer Dave MG, who is credited as the composer behind the song "You Must Be Crazy" on Chamillionaire’s September 2007 release, Ultimate Victory.

Oprah Winfrey OWN's New TV Network


Oprah Winfrey has teamed with Discovery Communications to launch a new multi-platform media venture named The Oprah Winfrey Network [OWN].

Winfrey, who has criticized some Hip-Hop music, as well as various media outlets for their portrayal of African-American men and women, will serve as chairman of OWN.

She will have full editorial over OWN’s content and will be responsible for the programming, branding and creative vision of the network.

OWN is slated to debut in 2009 in more than 70 million homes, on what is currently the Discovery Health Channel.

Khia Signs With Big Cat Records


Atlanta based record label Big Cat Records has inked a deal with Tampa, Florida rapper Khia, who will release her third album, titled Nasty Muzik.

Khia hit big in 2002 with the single "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)," which was taken from the gold selling album Thug Misses.
