T.I. Released From Prison On $3 Million Dollars Bond


A judge ordered rap superstar T.I. released from prison on $3 million dollars bond today (October 26) but the rapper must stay in home confinement until his federal trial for possession of machine guns and silencers.

Judge Alan Baverman said the rapper will be restricted to a house in Henry County, Georgia and will be monitored 24 hours a day by a private monitoring service that he must also pay for.

The judge said that T.I. was to have no contact with witnesses or informants associated with the case.

Jacket includes GPS tracker


Parents may worry less about losing their child -- and the kid's expensive coat -- with a new piece of winter wear that includes a global positioning tracker.

The jackets, released this week by the British clothing company Bladerunner, have a GPS tracking device in the lining. The device can track the jacket anywhere in the world, within 43 square feet.

The Double Life of T.I.


With all the questions swirling around Clifford "T.I." Harris Jr. since his arrest on federal weapons charges, perhaps the most pointed came from the judge who is hearing the superstar rapper's case.

"Mr. Harris is an exceptionally gifted and talented musician. He is exceptionally generous and has reached out to the community," U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan J. Baverman said during a bail hearing last week, with the defendant sitting before him in a navy pinstriped suit. "Somebody who has so many gifts to do good and do well ... risks it all by showing up at a gun deal."

Court orders Wilson freed in teen sex case


The Georgia Supreme Court on Friday ordered that Genarlow Wilson be released from prison, ruling 4-3 that his sentence for a teen sex conviction was cruel and unusual punishment.

Genarlow Wilson's case received national attention and led to changes in Georgia law.

Wilson, 21, was convicted in 2005 of having oral sex with a consenting 15-year-old girl when he was 17.

He has served more than two years in prison.

Nas Controversy Continues, NY Politician Says Change Album Title Or UMG Loses $84 Mil


Universal Music Group may face a withdrawl of $84 million in state investments if the company doesn't change the title of Nas' forthcoming release, Ni**er.

According to local New York news outlet, The Brooklyn Paper, Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries (D-Fort Greene) has requested that Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli withdraw the $84 million that New York's state pension fund has invested in Universal and its parent company, Vivendi.

Jay-Z's 40/40 Club has been hit with a lawsuit by a woman who claims she was fired because she was pregnant. The lawsuit, which was filed in New York County Court, claims that she was fired by managers who said her pregnancy didn't fit the club's "sexy image." The woman seeks an unknown amount in damages. In May, Jay-Z and the 40/40 Club were hit with a class action lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court. In that lawsuit, a woman accused the club of not paying minimum wage and making waiters and waitresses work for tips only.

Lil' Wayne Sued By Jeweler For Unpaid Bill


Blinged out rapper Lil' Wayne may be headed to court over a delinquent jewelry bill.

According to the Miami Herald, New Orleans-based Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry has filed a lawsuit against Weezy, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.

The complaint alleges that Carter currently owes $146,000 on a $170,000 jewelry purchase.

Freeway Preps New Album Minus Kanye West & Just Blaze


Philadelphia rapper Freeway is set to release his sophomore album, Free At Last next month.

The Roc-A-Fella Records release, which was originally due earlier this fall, will now be hitting shelves on November 20, according to Billboard.

"The album is soulful. I think it's gonna be another classic," Freeway told Billboard. "I didn't fall into what people thought I was going to do or what everyone else is doing. If you're a fan, you'll love it."

Tracy Morgan Removes Alcohol Monitoring Bracelet, Cites Medical Reasons


Funny man Tracy Morgan took off his alcohol monitoring bracelet early and may face a probation violation because of it.

Mayor's Office Of San Fran Withdraws Honors For Snoop; Exotic Erotic Ball Producer Reacts


Representatives for San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom have retracted proclamations for rapper Snoop Dogg and Perry Mann, founder of the Exotic Erotic Ball, a 2-day festival featuring exotic fashion, erotic art and a bevy of adult film stars.

A representative from the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice was supposed to present the pair with proclamations on behalf of Mayor Newsom during Snoop Dogg's performance, which kicks off the 28th Annual Exotic Erotic Ball taking place this Friday (October 26) and Saturday (October 27) at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.

Waffle House brawl lands Kid Rock in jail


Kid Rock was arrested early Sunday after a brawl at a restaurant and spent about 12 hours in jail before being released, police said.

50 Cent Drops New Autobiography, Signs Copies In NYC Today


50 Cent will be signing copies of his new, illustrated autobiography in New York City later this afternoon (October 23).

In his first autobiography, From Pieces to Weight: Once Upon a Time in Southside Queens, which was released in 2005, Fif documented his early years as he came of age in his Southside neighborhood. 50 x 50: 50 Cent in His Own Words, co-authored by Complex magazine's editor- in-chief, Noah Callahan-Bever, reads more like a scrapbook, littered with old photos chronicling Fif's rise from a Queens street kid to the successful hip-hop mogul he is today, reports New York's Daily News.

Rapper JT Money Denies Involvement In Atlanta Shooting


An attorney for rapper JT Money has denied that his client was involved in a shooting last weekend at the Opera Club in Midtown Atlanta.

Police are seeking a black Hummer with three men who left the scene of the shooting, which took place on October 11 and left one mad wounded with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Foxy Brown Sentenced To Solitary Confinement on Rikers


Imprisoned rapper Foxy Brown has been sentenced to 76 days in solitary confinement on Rikers Island over several infractions, including an altercation with another inmate.

According to The New York Post, Foxy Brown was removed from the general population of the prison and placed in a segregated cell, after she committed three violations this month in the jail.

On October 3, Foxy Brown and another female prisoner became involved in a shoving as they headed to a dining hall.

Fat Joe To Introduce New Terror Squad Members Via Koch


Bronx-based rap collective Terror Squad is setting the stage for bigger things, as it signs a new deal with Koch Records.

Under the new deal, Terror Squad will release two albums on Koch.
