1520 Sedgwick Ave. Tenants Team with Kool Herc To Buy Projects


Legendary Hip-Hop co-founder DJ Kool Herc is joining forces with US Senator Charles Schumer and residents of 1520 Sedgwick Avenue to unveil a tenant-sponsored plan to buy the affordable housing project.

The location, which is noted for being the birthplace of Hip-Hop, is currently on the auction block as it stands to lose its affordable housing program when its owners, BSR Management, sell the project to a private investment group.

Director Of Salacious Remy Ma Clip Speaks Out


The director behind a controversial Internet clip featuring a woman claiming to be the lover of rapper Remy Ma has issued his own statement surrounding the clip's authenticity.

Cliffy Barz of the WebTV show Harlem Streets, uploaded the clip to YouTube in December of 2007 featuring a Harlem woman who claimed to have had sexual relations with Remy Ma.

Bizzy Bone, DMX Shooting New Video In Graveyard


Rappers Bizzy Bone and DMX will team up later this month to shoot a video for Bizzy Bone’s latest single "A Song for You."

According to director Ethan Lader, the video for the song will be shot January 21 in Phoenix, Arizona, where they will turn a cemetery into a video set.

Remy Ma’s Alleged Shooting Victim Sues For $80 Mil


Rapper Remy Ma has been slapped with an $80 million civil suit filed Wednesday (Jan. 9) from a former friend that maintains the artist shot her.

The suit comes one day before Remy Ma was to appear in court for pretrial proceedings, according to a report in the Village Voice.

Beanie Sigel Sentenced To Halfway House


Earlier today (January 9) Philadelphia veteran rapper Beanie Sigel was sentenced to one day in jail and six months in an undisclosed halfway house for parole violations. The Roc-A-Fella star left the state without permission to go to Atlantic New Jersey, as well as made contact with a known felon, leading R. Barclay Surrick to send the rapper 18 months after his release.

Prodigy Hospitalized; Jail Bid Postponed


Mobb Deep member Prodigy was a granted a 30-day stay, after being admitted to an emergency room last night (January 7).

While details as to why the New York bred emcee was hospitalized are unknown at press time, sources told AllHipHop.com that the rapper suffered from complications from sickle cell anemia and was released the same night.
